Phuket Getaway!

HOLA! how are you all doing? hope you're still checking out my blog to keep yourself updated with my life. haha. IM BACK. from vacation, and MIA-ing. I was pretty emo in my previous post, due to job hunting and other stuffs as well. But all is well, I hope. 

Anyway, I went for V.A.C.A.T.I.O.N to Phuket, Thailand right after I finished my internship on the 5th August. On the 6th, I flew to KL and then to Phuket on the 8th. Such a rush as I had to finish off my internship report (with 50 pages remaining) and submit everything including ring binding and post it to my lecturer in KK. The night before, Angel was being soooo nice, she came over and overnight hahaha well to help me with my report else I'll be so doomed. I remembered having only 15 minutes of nap from 7pm to the next day 3pm as my flight was 3:05pm! Thank God I was able to nap in the plane, not sleep. At least I gained back some of my energy. 

That night we went for dinner and went back home (if I'm not mistaken) and had to get ready because our flight was like super early in the morning at 725am. Yada yada yada left the house at 5am, reached the airport at almost 6, had breakfast at McDonalds, got into plane at 7++am and totally zonked out in the plane. Finally reached our destination at 9 plus, took a taxi to our hotel, cost us 600 baht for the taxi. 

Phuket is like a small place, very kampung feel :D plus the road to our hotel, which is to Patong Beach (place we stayed) is super scary, the roads has got no lines - as in to separate the 2 way roads and people just drive like normal? On our way to hotel, we had to go up the hill and down the hill, its kinda scary as the big lorries with lots of stuff and buses uses the same way and it feels like the buses are gonna fall or something. haha don't know how to explain.

AND FINALLY. reached our hotel. First thing, to CAMHO. ;)

DAY ONE.

Then, someone fell asleep on the bed and then I followed as well. So she slept from 10am to i-forgot-what-time and I slept from 11am until 1pm? Cant really remember. Then got up, wash up and off we went to walk around Patong Beach and this is what we saw :)

And continued walking along the beach (pretty much like when I was back in Kota Kinabalu, facing the sea and all)  then our stomachs were growling like madddd as we only had breakfast at 6am and zero food until 2pm. And plus we had no idea what to eat or where to eat, only restaurants and didn't bother to look into the restaurants (more of shopping mode) and so we starved ourselves hahaha. Walked for like 2 hours? I'm guessing we kinda walked half of the place. Then we found this! My sister told me that I must try banana pancake and so we bought.

Pork stuff. Everything pork. 10 baht each if I'm not mistaken. we only ate the bottom ones (cant be seen) it looks like luncheon meat and taiwan sausage. EWW. I didnt like it. Bought it because I think it looks interesting but I didnt try the balls one though.

After walking for one whole afternoon, and some shopping, we head back to the hotel as the other two ladies told us that they will be reaching at 6pm Thai time (or earlier - cant recall) btw Thai time is one hour earlier than ours. Waited at the lobby for them at 6pm until 7pm and still didn't see any of them at all. Seriously I waited until I got pissed off and went up to the room in the end. Then we were both in the room and someone knocked on our door, they finally reached, like 730pm or so. Washed up, and went for dinner. I wanted to go to the area that we went that afternoon to look for food, seafood to be exact, but we went to check out the restaurant near our hotel and ended up there because we were too tired to walk there and look for food.

And our dinner cost us 1397 baht altogether. Oh wow I feel so rich for having dinner that cost us more than 1000 (except that its in baht). Haha. I still have that receipt in my purse, decided to keep it as a memory hahahaha.

After having our dinner, we walked along the beach and got into tuk tuk to go to the Jungceylon Mall, 150 baht for the tuk tuk after bargaining. We entered the mall to go to the washroom and then got out hahaha to walk along the streets selling all kinds of stuff. Souvenirs, bags, clothes, and ... stuffs. Earlier on that day, we were surveying the Fantasea show/elephant ride/any tours to go for and met this guy Mr. Porn. haha. yes that's his name. And then decided to go for Fantasea that cost us 1700 baht each, about RM170 each. HOMAIGOSH. I didn't think it was that pricey when I was there, but crapppp now I think its super expensive! Anyway we bought the tickets and the show is for the following night. And so we spent 1700 baht in that split second and went back to our hotel without anymore shopping. T___T And also that night, we went to 7 Eleven and bought this back. 10 baht each. SUPER CHEAP okay. Can still afford to buy 10 baht coke though.

DAY TWO.

Dropped by the beach to camho again. Haha. 

We didn't really camho that much/took pictures. We were busy walking and walking and walking. The only thing I remembered about us in Phuket was WALKING. haha. 

Day two we started the day with massage, went for head and shoulder massage as I was having my period so they said I can't go for full body massage. What a waste - but thank God in the end! The lady was half Thai-massaging me then I told her no no I'm only doing head and shoulder massage and after a while, she oh oh oh then she asked me to turn my back facing her and then! she unhooked my bra! I was like wtf yo, how come my friends are doing full body massage but they don't get to take off their clothes but I had to?! then she took off my singlet and happily massaging my back, I felt so exposed what the. I told her to cover the curtain (or whatever that was hanging) and she okay okay, but didnt. Told her again, then she oh okay okay no problem, BUT SHE TOOK ONE SMALL TOWEL AND COVERED MY BACK ONLY. I asked her to cover the curtain so that I wouldn't feel so exposed to my friends but she didn't get what I said. FINE. ended up feeling naked - I was anyway. 

Done with the massage for 200 baht then we walked to the shopping streets (the place Sandy and I went on the first day) and shopped - despite spending that 1700 baht in a split second the night before :( and shopped. shopped. shopped. Then went back to the hotel and got ourselves ready for that 1700 baht show hahaha have to emphasize on that amount of money.

We entered the show at 9pm and it ended at 1030pm. We weren't allowed to bring in our phones and cameras so we had to deposit it at the counter :((( I have never been away from my phone and they had to confiscate our phone GRRRR and there were like THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE THERE. imagine selling those phones and DSLRs wowowow will be a very rich person but will be cursed hahaha.

My POV on the Fantasea show? The show wasn't that awesome, to be honest. Its actually elephant show (maybe 10 minutes or so of the elephants) and the rest are .... I couldn't understand what were they doing actually. Sorry, not interested in it I guess. The gymnasts (or whatever you call them) were awesome though. That was the one that got me wow-ed. But the rest was just, so-so. Anyway it was worth the experience, now I can tell everyone that I've been to the famous Fantasea show. haha.

That night we went for foot massage, I thought it was only FOOT MASSAGE but I didn't expect her to massage up to my thigh HOMAIGOSH super super itchy and ewwww so geli! Couldn't stand it almost slapped her hahaha and she massaged my shoulder it hurts soooooo badly that I cried. dang. Then we head back to the hotel and sleeeep all the way til the next morning.

Then we went to walk along Bangla Road, the most happening clubbing scene in Patong. Clubs, music, pubs, chicks, tourists, guys, poles, beers, alcohols, strippers, ladyboys you name it they have it.

Beers, clubs, girls stripping. Sylvia wanted to watch the girls stripping in the Agogo Bar or something, but we didn't because the rest of us don't fancy such thing hahaha so ended up we walked pass them and saw lots of tourists were taking pictures with the ladyboys and even grabbed their 'boobs' hahahaha quite entertaining I must say. And it was the most happening scene I have ever seen. (Guess I have to see more of the world).

Headed back home after dinner & sight seeing at Bangla Road. End of Day Three.

DAY FOUR. 

Went to 7E, just about 20steps away from our hotel, got ourselves some pork burger for breakfast :)

Sisit eating some long spicy sausages. Yummy, cost us 20 baht only.

Then, we had shopping spree in 7E because their flight was at 5pm and ours at 9pm, not much stuff to spend on thus we spent it in 7E. haha. Check out this girl with her food.

Finally, we sent them off - at the lobby while the mini bus picked them up to the airport. Then, it was time to go for some walking/sightseeing again before leaving. 

hehehe took this using my phone, set it on timer and put in on something I-dunno-what-is-it. Sunny sunny afternoon ♥

SUPER DUPER CHEAP RIGHT. HOMAIGOSH I WANNA GO THERE AND STEAL SOME MORE NEXT TIME. that shop is all over in Thailand hehhehe. unfortunately, only these bags are nice, the rest, ugh not nice. and that brown bag on top? I bought it last minute, when I decided to get back to the shop after sending them off and only had 280 baht in my purse. Borrowed 20 baht from Sandy hahahaha and paid her in MYR. my happiest purchase ever.

All in all, Phuket was fun, great but not so awesome I-have-no-idea-why. But my vacation was of course awesome! How can it not be awesome, I've spent so much on my trip. Supposedly change RM400 for my Phuket and the rest for shopping in KL but I ended up changing RM750, and shopping in KL - spent RM300 on the first day. Total, I guess I spent approximately more than RM1000 for that trip. 

Oh how awesome that we get to spend so much money right! Shopping is awesome, but earning money is not. And I think I'm addicted to shopping AND travelling. Now that I've spent so much, time for me to earn it all back. 

My new year resolution, to go travel! Ciao.
